“Influences” at NIH
This collection of portraits highlights people who have influenced me and my art. They are securely embedded in Pop Culture, but when you scratch the surface, their influence goes beyond their fame and impacts the way we live. Together, they have shaped who I am, my perspective and my values.
They are grouped to reflect American Icons, Visual Artists, Mexican actors and singers from the Golden Age (Epoca de Oro), and the powerful women of TV from my childhood.
“American Icons” are revered and have made incredible long-term, undeniable contributions to our country through humanitarian efforts, science and the arts.
