Driskell Center and Distinguished Artist in Residence, Department of Art, University of Maryland and Curated by Carolyn Goodridge, Executive Director of Art Impact™ USA. We present the artists and the artwork of The Best of the Best during the hottest month of the year and at a time when there’s said to be no one around DC. With over 300 registrations received within one week of announcing this show we expect this to be a true blockbuster opening reception.
Best of the Best presents two hundred and forty nine artists spanning the globe - from DC to LA, Miami to Boston, the UK to Canada, and from Switzerland to Syria. 302 pieces were chosen from over fourteen hundred works of art! Half of the artists reside in the D.C. Metropolitan Area. The public is invited to enjoy video installation, photography, painting, fabric art and more. Some works will be hung on the Pepco Edison Place Gallery walls for three weeks and others, The Notables, (including David Amoroso)
will be shown in a digital presentation during the opening reception. With a 110-page exhibition catalog documenting this great event, the visitors will be able to walk away with a treasured souvenir, at the very least.
Art Impact™ USA’s mission is to cultivate, grow and support artists in the U.S. and beyond, so that their creative gifts may then enrich our lives.
