Dia de los Muertos at the Arlington Arts Center


Arlington Arts Center is pleased to present its free annual Dia de los Muertos event featuring an exhibition, dance, live music, arts and crafts, and more! This event is made possible by the generous sponsorship of Corporate Apartment Specialists. We're excited to announce that our special musical guest this year will be Los Gallos Negros presented in partnership with Arlington Arts through Arlington Cultural Affairs! 6-8pm -- Exhibition on view, plus arts and crafts. 6:15pm -- Special performance by Ballet Folklorico Mi Herencia Mexicana(on AAC's back patio) 7pm -- Special musical guest Los Gallos Negros (front lawn) On the Lower Level in the Jenkins Community Gallery, AAC presents its annual Dia de los Muertos exhibition featuring 9 contemporary artists from the Mid-Atlantic Region. Artists included are: David Amoroso, Violeta Barcenas, Christian Benefiel, Sarah Bradbury, Annie Farrar, Maria Teresa Frescas Illingworth, Francisco Loza, Marcelo Novo, and Juliana Vallejo. We'll also have hot chocolate and pan de muerto, face painting, and free drop-in workshops for all ages. La Tingeria Food Truck will be on site again this year!
